LifeStar Ground Safety Program (GSP)

LifeStar Ground Safety Program: This program is a state approved continuing education program. It is approved for 3 hours of continuing education. 1.5 medical/trauma and 1.5 other. The program will cover: Benefits of time saved by flying critically ill/injured patients, procedure to package a patient for a flight, methods to safely assist the flight crew with loading patients and requirements for a safe landing zone.

EMS Aircraft: This course is a state approved continuing education program. This class is approved for 2 hours of continuing education, 0.5 medical/trauma and 1.5 other. This class provides a review of the patients that may benefit from air medical transport, patient packaging to help reduce ground time, requirements for a safe landing zone, overview of types of aircraft that are working in the region and emergency action to take in the event of a accident involving and EMS aircraft.
